Assisted Living & Memory Care in Maryland

Payment Terms

HeartHomes Quick Pay

Effective date: July 8, 2026

These Payment Terms govern your use of HeartHomes Quick Pay, the online payment page at hearthomes.com/make-a-payment (the “Payment Portal”) operated by HeartHomes Assisted Living & Memory Care (“HeartHomes,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By submitting a payment through the Payment Portal, you agree to these Payment Terms.

The Payment Portal is a convenience for paying invoices issued by HeartHomes. It does not replace or modify the Assisted Living Residence and Care Agreement (the “Care Agreement”) signed by the resident and Responsible Party. Your underlying obligations, including the amount and timing of fees, are governed by that Care Agreement.

1. Authorization to charge

When you submit a payment, you authorize HeartHomes to charge the payment method you select for the exact amount you enter. You confirm that you are the account holder for that payment method, or that you are authorized to use it. Payments are processed for the amount you enter; HeartHomes does not adjust the amount you submit.

2. Accepted payment methods and fees

  • Credit card: accepted. A 3% processing fee is added to credit card payments and shown to you before you confirm. The 3% covers the cost of card processing.
  • Bank account / ACH transfer: accepted with no fee. You can connect your bank by logging in through Stripe, or enter your routing and account numbers. Accounts entered manually are first verified with a small test deposit, which can add 1 to 2 business days before the payment begins.
  • Debit cards are not accepted. Please use a credit card or a bank account (ACH) transfer.

You choose your payment method before confirming. The total, including any credit card processing fee, is displayed before you complete the payment.

3. Your responsibility for accuracy

You are responsible for entering the correct information, including the invoice or account number, the payment amount, and the payer’s name and email address. Because you enter the amount, please confirm it against your HeartHomes invoice before submitting. HeartHomes is not responsible for an incorrect payment caused by information you entered. If you believe you have made an error, contact us promptly (see Section 8) and see the Refund Policy.

4. Receipts and how payments are applied

After a successful payment you will receive a receipt by email at the address you provide. HeartHomes applies your payment to your account and reconciles it against your invoice. A receipt confirms that the payment was processed; it does not by itself resolve any remaining balance if the amount paid differs from the amount due.

5. Fees, due dates, and late charges

The amount of your monthly service fee, when it is due, proration, rate changes, late charges, and any other charges are set by your signed Care Agreement and the Schedule of Charges attached to it. Nothing in these Payment Terms changes those obligations. Using the Payment Portal, or not using it, does not change when a payment is due under the Care Agreement.

6. Failed, declined, or returned payments

If a payment is declined, fails, or is later reversed or returned by your bank or card issuer, the payment will be treated as not made, and any late charges or other terms under the Care Agreement continue to apply. You remain responsible for the amount owed.

7. Payment processing and security

Card and bank payments are processed by Stripe, our third-party payment processor. Your full card or bank account number is entered directly with Stripe and is not stored on HeartHomes’ servers. See our Privacy Policy for how we handle the information you provide.
